In its riveting fourth season, “Slow Horses” masterfully intertwines dark humour with
high-stakes espionage, delivering the sharp wit and intense drama that define the
bestowed series. As River Cartwright (Jack Lowden) grapples with his grandfather
David’s (Jonathan Pryce) worsening dementia, a devastating London bombing sets off a
chain of events that pulls the exiled agents of Slough House back into a deadly
conspiracy. Led by the enigmatic Jackson Lamb, portrayed by Gary Oldman, the team
faces new challenges in the murky world of intelligence and must outmanoeuvre MI5 in
a season packed with complex characters, and pulse pounding twists.

1920 completed VFX work on over 100 shots for the series, including FX rain to create wet London streets. As multiple green screen shots were filmed on stage, we comped in the exterior plates and DMPs to place the scenes in their intended environments. We also added muzzle flashes and bullet hits in a fast-paced shootout sequence to enhance the action.
