Paul joins the post-production facility after a varied career with MPC.
Post-production facility nineteentwenty announces former MPC Producer, Executive Producer and Head of Production Technology, Paul Branch, has joined the team as Senior Producer.
After nearly 14 years with London-based post house MPC, latterly in a production technology role, Paul has moved back into the world of VFX post-production. He began his career in post after a brief stint as a roadie working for Ziggy Marley starting as a runner at Cell Animation, finally working his way up to producer at the boutique facility. Following that, his time at Rushes and CG studio The Hive led to his longest residency at MPC where he worked on a number of iconic and complex VFX projects. After a brief spell in a more technology-focused role Paul is happy to be back at the sharp end of VFX.
On beginning the new venture with nineteentwenty, Paul says: “I’ve learned a lot over the years through the variety of roles I’ve had, and it’s allowed me to see the bigger picture of what we craft in post. My time within technology was interesting and very useful but I’ve really missed being part of a creative team. I really welcome the opportunity to get back to what I love doing most, and I couldn’t be in a better place to do that”
Scott Griffin, Co-Founder at nineteentwenty: “We are very excited to have Paul join the team, he is an extremely experienced producer whose knowledge and creativity really is a perfect fit for us. ”
